The Double T Program

These pictures are from Double T's donations to children in Jamaica and Uganda.

The Double T Program was founded by Abby in fifth grade (2005). Inspired by the story of a little girl whose family couldn't afford to buy her a toothbrush, Double T ("toothbrushes and toothpaste") is dedicated to giving hygiene supplies (typically in the form of hygiene kits) to the needy.
Each hygiene kit usually includes a toothbrush, toothpaste tube, bar of soap and another hygiene item (like floss or shampoo), as well as an encouraging quote or saying ("Try to smile for awhile").
Since Double T's beginning, we have donated3,242 hygiene kits as well as over1,350 various hygiene supplies to people in need, whether they are local, shut-in seniors or poor schoolchildren in Uganda. Recipients include battered women and children, foster-kids, Hurricane Katrina victims, Haitian Earthquake victims, low-income families, food pantries, homeless shelters, etc.
A toothbrush is such a simple commodity that so many of us take for granted each day. By offering hygiene supplies to those who need them most, Double T is encouraging a smile out of those in even the most desperate of situations. Please consider donating to Double T (see list of supplies desired below) to help us spread smiles across the globe! A smile is worth so much more than it costs.
